I have a book, "NEWBERRY COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA DEED ABSTRACTS, VOL. I, DEED BOOKS A-B, 1751-1794, by Brent H. Holcomb. There is a Wm. and Elizabeth Anderson listed. It doesn't give anything about children or marriages, just deeds :
A, 707-710: Lease and release. 26 & 27 Jan 1789, William Anderson of Newberry County and wife Elizabeth to John Floyd of same, for L300 sterling, 60 acres part of 100 acres granted to John Lucas 16 Sept 1774, on a branch of Little River called Sandy Run adj. Andrew Erwin, Robert Johnston, John Sims, James Goggans, William Anderson, also 150 acres a part of a tract of 250 acres granted to William Anderson 10 Jan 1770 on south side of south fork of Sandy Run adj. William Pitts, making out 210 acres. William Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson (X).
Wit: John Anderson, William Anderson (X), George Goggans.
Proved in Newberry County by the oath of George Goggans 2 Mar 1789 before Robert Rutherford, J.P.
Recorded 10 Jul 1789.
No way to tell at this point if this is your Anderson's, but thought it was worth a shot. I hope this helps.

Am looking for documentation on the marriage of William Anderson and Virginia Elizabeth Easley. They married 11 Oct. 1786 or ' 87 in Greenville Co. S.C. Also looking for church records for the birth of their children in Greenville Co: Dorcus, John Erwin, Caroline, Mariam Burns, Bailey Washington, & Huldah Virginia. Other children: Albert Gallatin and William Gowen were born in KY. Does anyone know if his William Anderson's middle name was Pleasant? Willing to share information.
