Hi Judy!
I have Cantrell's and Fisher's out of Spartanburg and Greenville Cos, also.
Which lines do you have? Thomas Cantrell (abt 1811, Rutherford Co, NC-abt
1897, Boone Co, AR) mar Mary "Polly" Fisher (???, Spartanburg or Greenville
Co, SC-abt 1859, Henderson Co, NC). Polly was the daughter of James W.
Fisher, JR and Darcus Bolling/Bowling. James and Darcus married abt. 1815 in
Spartanburg Co. They lived there for a few years and then moved to around the
Dark Corner of Greenville Co. From there up into present-day Transylvania Co,
NC. Thomas Cantrell was the son of Samuel Cantrell and Mary Giles. Samuel may
have been born around the Spartanburg Co area as his father, Reuben, and
grandfather, Isaac Cantrell were living in that area around Buck Creek in the
late 1700's into the early 1800's. Samuel married in Buncombe Co in 1808 and
then it was Rutherford, then Henderson. I am not up on my county line changes
right now. I have information on the descendants of Samuel Cantrell and also
of James W. Fisher, JR. I believe Thomas Cantrell and Polly Fisher were in
Greenville Co before removing to present-day Transylvania Co, NC. Let me know
if you connect! Isaac Cantrell was the son of Joseph and Catherine ??
Cantrell>Richard and Dorothy Jones Cantrell.
