Hello Patricia,
So sorry to have taken so long to answer your message. So much to do so
little time. Here is my Cantrell line:
me:
Judith Ann Parker-Proctor
Mom:
Joyce Peace who married A C Parker
Maternal Grandparents:
Bessie Caroline Morris who married William Thomas Peace
Great-Grandparents:
William Caldwell Morris who married Amanda Elizabeth Gosnell
Great-Great-Grandparents
Hayden Morris who married Catharine McElrath
Great-Great-Great-Grandparents
Emily Harriett CANTRELL who married James Morris
Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandparents
John Hightower Cantrell who married Elizabeth (?)
GGGGG-Grandparents
Peter Cantrell Sr who married Sarah Hightower
GGGGGG-Grandparents
Isaac Cantrell & Elizabeth (?)
GGGGGGG-Grandparents
Joseph Cantrell & Catherine (some say Heath)
GGGGGGGG-Grandparents
Richard Cantril & Dorothy Jones
Now, I must say this, I haven't proved from Peter back, and would be amazed
if the information I have on Isaac is
correct. I've run across much info on him, and if true, it appears he was
married 3 times and had a total of some
25 children. If true Peter's mom was the second of Isaac's three wives.
Now my Fisher line:
Judith Ann Parker-Proctor
Mom:
Joyce Peace who married A C Parker
Maternal Grandparents:
Bessie Caroline Morris who married William Thomas Peace
Great-Grandparents:
William Caldwell Morris who married Amanda Elizabeth Gosnell
Great-Great-Grandparents
Francis Marion Gosnell Sr who married Nancy Carolina Moss
GGG-Grandparents
Chester Charles Gosnell who married Catherine Fisher
GGGG-Grandparents
William Fisher & Martha (?)
William & Martha were the parents of at least three children, James,
Catharine & William.
They had apparently moved to Clay County Kentucky & it is said William died
there about 1820 &
Martha came back to SC where she continued to have children, at least 4
more, Mary, Lucinda, Sarah
& Francis Marion. In 1850 Martha was living in the Glassy Mountain area
next door to Jacob Gosnell
who was the uncle of Catharine's husband Chester Charles.
As you can see, I have a lot to prove with these lines, as well as my other
lines, and have only been at
this detective work for a few years now. It's so nice to hear from others
researching the same lines &
I hope to hear from you again.
Enjoy the trek,
Judy
