I'm trying to find the birthplace/parents of Thomas Phillips, b. abt. 1788 in SC.

Possible father's names are Thomas, David, John, or William Phillips. Other possible names are Stephen, Michael or William Phillips.

Around 1808-14 he married Elizabeth, b. abt 1791 in GA, and settled with his family in Overton, TN in mid-1830s.

Children: David, John, Michael, Jane, Amanda, Mary, Nancy, Rachel, and Stephen.

If anyone has any information on someone who might be this Thomas, I'd really appreciate any clues you can offer--I'm at a dead-end. Thank you!
