I think Carter is the father of my great,great grandmother Mary, who married Silas P. Boyce/Boice. Carter was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, S.C. for a time. Mary Tanner Boyce died in Oct., 1873. I think Carter and his 2nd wife, Martha Roberts are buried at Berea Baptist. I'd appreciate any information. Thanks, Lynn
