I have traced the existance of a Great-great Grandfather, last name Donaldson, born circa 1815-1835 in South Carolina. I have no idea how many children that he was father of, but my great-grandfather was Survan Donaldson, or Charles Survan Donaldson, born 1853. He, I discovered on the 1900 Census of Freeport, Florida, where He had listed the birth place of his father as South Carolina. If anyone has any information as to the possibilities of the identity of great-great granddaddy was, I certainly welcome it.
