I'm searching for any information on Benjamin and Adeline O'Shields. According to the 1900 Greenville Co., SC (Austin Township) census:

Benjamin, age 60, farmer
Adeline, wife, b. October 1861, age 38, had 7 children, 7 living
Jessie, son, b. December 1883, age 16
Sweety, daughter, b. September 1885, age 14
Willie, son, b. April 1888, age 12
Irby, son, b. May 1891, age 9
Iola, daughter, b. April 1893, age 7
Lee, son, b. April 1895, age 5

The 1910 Greenville County (Austin Township) census states:

Benjamin, age 54, 2nd marriage, married 5 years (this is obviously a mistake)
Adeline, wife, age 47, b. NC, parents b. NC, had 6 children, 6 living (this is also a mistake - unless one of the children in the 1900 census was by Benjamin's first wife)
Erbe (Irby), son, age 17
Lee, son, age 15

Obviously, the other children had moved out by this time. I am particuarly interested in information on their daughter Iola. She would have been exactly the same age as my gr-grandmother, Ola O'Shields - who married in 1910 and was living with her husband, C.O. Masters and his parents. They were also living in the Austin Township, Greenville Co., SC.

In looking at SC death records, I found a Benjamin O'Shields who died 2-17-1929, Adeline O'Shields died 6-11-1931, Jessie O'Shields died 6-19-1928 in Greenville Co., SC, Irby H. O'Shields died 3-10-1948 in Spartanburg Co., SC and Lee O'Shields died 12-30-1936 in Richland Co., SC.

If anyone has ANY info on this family, I would appreciate your letting me know. Obviously without the 1890 census, I'm at a loss!!
