Heritage Saurday

On Saturday, May 5, 2007, Broad River Genealogical Society invites everyone to drop by for their Heritage Saturday. New events have been added to the annual open house.

You are welcome to set up tents, tables and lawn chairs on the grounds. Many have already signed up for their "family booth" space. You can plan to just sit back and talk with other researchers or browse the tables and booths of others. Do you have books that you've published? Used books that you no longer need? Want to swap research with others? This is the perfect opportunity to sell your goods or exchange items with others! There's no charge for booth space. Opportunity awaits you!

Our library will also be available for you to research. Materials of interest to many are old newspapers, microfilm, lots of books, maps and many other items. Genealogy books and T-Shirts will be available for purchasing. Re-enactors will be on the grounds.

Light refreshments will be provided by Broad River Genealogical Society. However, if you're planning on staying all day, you might like to buy a hotdog, chips and soft drinks that will also be available on the grounds.

Be sure to come by the Broad River Genealogical Society's Archives and grounds from 9 am til 4 pm. Everyone will have an opportunity to see how much the BRGS Archives has grown, visit with other researchers and authors.

Additional parking is available at Putnam Memorial Baptist Church.

Door prizes will also be given. Don't forget to register.
