They descended before that in the 1600s from VA, many colonial
Pettypoole/Poole/etc. Many spellings,
but all of the Poole family from the Colonial America started as
Pettipool/Pettypool which ever spelling.
They lived in many of the early "counties" in VA way back in the mid
1600s from London cty, England.
I am a direct descendant of about 14 generations. I'm only one of
many direct descendants of the
colonial Pettypools. There are many researchers of this
family. Mine went from VA>NC>upper SC. Judy
