Suzanne,

Here's an 1895 map of SC; it shows Quarry just north east of Greenwood, on
the road to Laurens: I didn't find New Market.

John,

I'm sorry that I didn't make myself clear. I was looking for the location

of the communities of Quarry and New Market. I had the impression that they

were not in the city of Greenwood. Quarry Road may be where a community by

that name exists/existed.

My gg-aunt, Martha Collins Norwood, was a member of Bethany church at Quarry

according to her obituary in 1924. I am trying to locate the neighborhood

and/or the church if still active.

Her application for a Confederate pension based on her late husband's

service stated that she lived at New Market, Greenwood County in 1919. I

read this as a community/town outside of Greenwood.
