Billie & Suzanne,
I have been trying to link William Anderson Collins and William Gibson
Collins, too. So far, unsuccessful. It seems strange that we would have
two separate Collins clans in the Greenwood area at this time. W.A. seems
to be involved in many proceedings in the area, as I'm sure you've noted.
Gibson is my roadblock. I don't have his father's name, but do have several
of his siblings.
Suzanne, William Gibson Collins is my ggg-grandfather. Here's the lineage.
William Gibson Collins (b. 9/8/1792, d. 12/2/1881)
John Lake Collins (b. 1844 or 1846, d. ???)
John Walter Collins (b. 8/7/1867, d. 9/18/1930)
Walter Lake Collins (b. 5/12/1902, d. 12/25/1958)
Robert E. Collins, Sr.
Robert E. Collins, Jr.
W.A. Collins (b. 5/17/1864) would fit in somewhere around John Walter
Collins.
Any ideas?
Bob
