Genealogical and Historical Societies,
Dear Sir or Madam,
Enclosed is a flyer announcing our 18th annual "Heritage Faire" which is
being held by the Family History Center of the Church of Jesus of Latter
Day Saints at 3410 Churn Creek Rd. in Redding, California. Saturday Feb
25, 2006. This is not a religious affair. It is put on every year by the
church for all those interested in their own genealogy . There will be
28 classes covering the 20 subjects shown on the flyer. We will give
classes to get beginners started and also interest those who have many
years of experience. We have experienced teachers from all over the
north state with years of experience.
The church offers the use of their facilities, microfilm readers,
computers, and books to anyone at no charge. These classes are to
educate people who are looking for their own families by the use of the
equipment above and also computers in their own homes.
There will be displays of historical interest going back to the Civil
War days, and traveling by covered wagon and hand cart .
If you need additional flyers to pass along to your members, we will be
happy to supply them. If you could enter this information in your
January and / or February bulletin, it would be most appreciated. Thank
you for helping us get the word out to your members. This Seminar has
grown and improved every year of it existence and I am sure you would
find it worth your while to attend. We have found that car pooling has
worked out well from some of our distant areas.
If you need any further information. Please call me: Eleanor
Homewood 530-241-4540.
Sincerely,
Eleanor B. Homewood
Publicity Chairman
P.S. I am enclosing a lodging sheet for those that would like to come
early or stay over on Saturday night.
