As a new subscriber to this List, I want to tell you how informative it has
been. I am researching the Nissen family in the areas of Stedesand, Ost-
Bargum, Achtrup and Seewang, having visited there this summer and wanting to
know all I can about the Sch. Hol. area. One of the first things I discovered
was that our family was Frisan, which was a great surprise to me. I have a
"cousin - third, I think" and his friend who are helping me put this together.
His friend is doing a History of Seewang, where my Grandfather and all his
brothers and sisters were born, so we are helping each other. We are back to
1650 in this same location so far. I only wish I could come up with the same
kind of information for my relatives in Thuringia. Thanks for the
contributions to my education!!!!!!!!!! Jean Wade
