Hi Anne - do you have any information on Laura's parents,
particularly Hans A. Arp, where he is from, who his parents were,
etc. I have a gr-gr-grandfather Hans Herman ARPS b. 3 Jun 1815,
d. 9 Jul 1867 in St. Michaelisdonn, S.H. He m. Margaretha LORENZ,
b. 24 March 1813 in Eddeelak, near St. Michaelisdonn, d. 10 Mar 1910.
Hans Hermans and Marg. had my gr-grandmother Amalia Arps 19 Jul 1845,
Hans Hermann Arps 4 Oct 1850, and Catharina Elisabeth Arps 30 Dec
1853. The timing works for Hans Hermann to have married Sophia
Meinert, and had Laura in 1872. Would be quite a coincidence, but
surnames often had an "in" or "en" added in the case of a female
member, and sometimes it carried over - so Lorenz could be Lorenzen
(too much of a coincidence?), and Arps could be Arp, and the families
could be marrying for a couple of generations. What do you
