Hello Chuck,

I do not know for sure whether of not my ancestor came to the USA before
1850, but I strongly suspect that he did. I have checked the German's to
America, the Hamburg passenger lists. I have not checked the Hamburg
emigration list, in fact I have never heard of it. I will check it out at
the local LDS.

I appreciate your response to my query. I believe the pre 1850 timeframe is
what is holding me up, as well as the patronymic naming system for searches
in Denmark trrough the LDS.
