Erlert Hinrich Schmidt was born 20 Aug 1811 in Wilster, Kreis
Steinburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. His parents were Heinrich
Schmidt and Anna Gottfehen. On 11 October 1845, Heinrich with his wife,
Hannah Maria Magdalena Lange (born 23 Oct 1810 in Mecklenberg, Germany)
and two children, Johann Joachim Fritz and Johanna Sophia Lisette,
sailed from Bremen Germany aboard the "George Washington" (capt.
Matthias Probst) bound for Port Adelaide, Australia.
Would appreciate any information about this family.
