Thanks for your reply to my "Kuhl Family from Rendsburg" posting. I
hadn't realized that the name "Kuhl" had origins other than "Kuehl." It
looks like you have a lot more information about your husband's family
than I have about my ggrandmother. My ggrandmother's family is from
northern Germany, between Rendsburg & Kiel and your husband's family is
from southwestern Germany so I doubt that our families are related.
However, it does seem to be quite a coincidence that we both have
Kuhl/Luschen (Kohl/Lueschen) combinations in our families. And I do
have family who lived in Mills County, IA, but not this ggrandmother's
line. I think we need to stay in touch & see what happens as we
continue to search the roots of our family trees.
