As one who has been located a couple of years ago by a cousin in
Hamburg in Ancestry, there is a bit of a problem there. He
invited me to his sight, and I invited him to mine, but my access
doesn't always work as it should, at least from my side. In the
beginning, it didn't work at all, and I eventually contacted
Ancestry about the difficulty. They "fixed" it, but sometimes it
works and sometimes it doesn't, but most often doesn't. I can't
regularly get in to his site as I can with a site belonging to a
relative of my husband's in England. I am not, however, a paying
member of Ancestry, as I found it too expensive for what I needed
for keeping up membership for any extended period of time. It is
real frustrating. They send me a notices when he adds something,
but when I click to see it, it sends me to their pay sign up
procedure.
