Nothing in the US says exactly where most just say Germany. And on top of that the possible spelling variations are horrid. It's either Klever or Kluever or Cluever or Clever. UGH!
According to census records they immigrated in 1872, I believe I found a record for them in Hamburg, but still unsure.
