Greetings,

I am Seeking information on the following surnames: POWERS, GASKINS,
GRAHAM, MATHIS, CAMERON, CRIBB, MATTHEWS and OWENS from Marion,
Georgetown, Dillion, Florence and Horry Counties.

The following information is from my grandmother (Mary Magdeline POWERS)

who is getting on in years, so the information might not be accurate,
but it's all I have so far.

*William Russel POWERS, born July 16, 1890
married: Mary Jane Beulah MATTHEWS, born Sept. 29, 1889
Both William and Mary are buried at Popular Hill (Freewill?) Baptist
Church, Hemingway, SC. Also Mary had two middle names, Jane and Beulah
and was known as Beulah POWERS.

*William Russel POWERS
father: Evan POWERS
mother: Margret CRIBB (Margret CRIBB's mother was ? OWEN)

*Mary Jane Beulah MATTHEWS
father: John (C.?) GRAHAM (Lake City, SC area) Lt. in the Confederate
Army
buried ? Hemingway, SC
mother: Melissa GASKINS (Lake City, SC area)
(note: John GRAHAM was Melissa GASKINS 2nd Husband. Her 1st. husband's
last name was MCDONALD. I have no idea why Mary Jane Beulah's last name

is MATTHEWS).

*John (C.?) GRAHAM
father: Lancen MATHIS
mother: Minnie GRAHAM
(Also one of the family stories has John C. GRAHAM losing the family
home in a card game.)

mother: Melissa CAMERON
