William Strother b circa 1750 Sc d 1805 SC m (1) Dorothy Singleton (2)
Lucy Rogers (3)Lucy Hicks. William Strother was a Revolutionary Soldier.
His widow Lucy Hicks moved to Wilcox Co AL listed in 1820 Census. These
Strothers connect to the ones listed in John M. Gregg's EARLY PEE DEE
SETTLERS. His father was Charles Strother I believe.His Grandfather
William Strother married Mildred Taliaferro and after his death his
widow Mildred married James Gerald who died before 1762. I would like to
know who the parents were of any of the wives. The William( whose widow
moved to Wilcox Co) had a son Charles(need which wife was his mother)
who had a son William who married Lucinda Smithson and resided Crawford
Co GA. The Crawford Co GA William is my Gt Grandfather.Looking for more
evidence to tie all these generations together.I believe it goes William
>Charles>William>Charles>William. Found some records in Marlboro. My
William Strother of Crawford Co's family moved to Troy, Pike Co AL.Celia
