CONWAY - Gus Bryant Jr. died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Conway Hospital.

He was born April 16, 1927, a son of the late Callie Johnson Bryant and Rev. Nero Bryant.

He attended Horry County public schools and later served in the Navy for seven years.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Greene Bryant; five children, Cindy Booth and her husband, David, Minister Myrtle Watts and her husband, Charlie, Roger Bryant and his wife, Jammie, Lenise Huffman and her husband, Sammy, Levon Bryant and his wife, Janice; three sisters, Myrtle Pernell, Pastor Snowree Woodard and her husband, James, and Earlene Henry and her husband, Woodrow, all of Conway; four sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Bryant, Gladys Doctor, Bessie Bryant and Juanita Grissett; two aunts, Elizabeth Johnson and Maybelle Weathers; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Arrangements will be announced by Rhue's Mortuary.
