CONWAY - Ruby G. Johnson, 88, of Hickory Hill Circle, died Thursday, May 24, 2002, at Conway Nursing Center.



She was born in Loris, a daughter of the late Rev. Joseph L. and Martha Jane Hardee Suggs.



She was of the Baptist denomination and a member of Ridgefield Baptist Church. She was a sales representative for Avon for almost 50 years, and was predeceased by her husband, Ernest H. Johnson.



Survivors include four sons, Earl Thomas Johnson, Carl Edmond Johnson, Gene Austin Johnson, all of Conway and Clayton L. Johnson of Zuni, Va.; a daughter, Judith Ann Hall of Marion; a brother, Carlye Suggs of Whiteville, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.



Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.



The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ridgefield Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul Alford will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
