Eugene M. Thompkins

CONWAY — Eugene M. Thompkins, 74, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Conway Nursing Center after an illness.

He was born in Horry County, a son of the late John McDuffie and Effie Shackelford Thompkins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joe Thompkins. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, J.D. Thompkins of Conway, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

The funeral will be will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gordon Graham and The Rev. Leroy Larrimore will officiate.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
