Chyrel, I have very little on the early Stalveys. John Jacob Stolviar appears to have been living on a branch of the Little Pedee and exchanged lands with Matthew Creed of All Saints in 1773. This information comes from a 1 Dec. 1773 "Bond for Deed" between Matthew Creed and John Jacob Stolvare (sic) in which it states that John Jacob Stolvare lives on a branch of the Little Pedee and Matthew Creed lives on a branch of Socatee Creek. The two agree to exchange properties.
I have a note that John Jacob Stalvey is the son of an Ann Stalvey and had a brother named Peter. I do not know who John Jacob Stalvey married - if you have that information, I would appreciate it. If you do not have the "Bond for Deed" between Creed and Stalvey, I will be glad to type it out (time permitting).
If you will go to the below listed site and check the Bible of Thomas Britton under Bible Records, I would like to know if you have information on Catherine King Stalvior and where she fits in the Stalvey family. She was raised on the Waccamaw neck by Elizabeth Nesbit at True Blue Plantation and married Francis Hairne Britton in 1807.
