Maxine F. West
LAURINBURG - Mrs. Maxine Gibson Farmer West, 76, of Laurinburg, died Monday, June 21, 2004, died UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Mrs. West was a chief operator for BellSouth for 37 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dragg Kimery. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Park.
Mrs. West is survived by her husband, Jimmy L. West of the home; a daughter, Nan F. Lynn of Laurinburg; two stepsons, Adam West of Whispering Pines and Michael West of Sanford; a brother, Wadus Gibson of Newport News, Va.; two sisters, Carlene Hardee of Laurinburg and Bea Chamberland of Grand Island, Fla.; two grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Richard Boles Funeral Service in Laurinburg.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
