I knew a Margarett Schwartz when I was young, she was old then(late 50's early 60's) and lived with her sister Edith Schwartz - neither married to my knowledge- they ran Idle Ease Sanitorium in Croghan, Lewis County, NY- it was a maternity hospital mostly but maybe some TB patients at times?
They grew an incredible garden and like to work on the loom out in the garage- I was allowed to sit and watch on the doorstep while they clicky clacked on the loom!
The Mohawk Valley is just south of here in Oneida County- I believe old news articles tell about the girls visiting family down that way- but I did not know of them ever marrying or having any children although they took in many children as foster parents- my grandfather was raised by Bernard Schwartz-- their uncle--- when he was orphaned at a young age- Bernard lived next door to the girls and his obit states that Edith was his foster child- Bernard and his wife never had their own children- I always was grateful that he was so good to my grandfather who had been terribly mistreated by a step-father-
You could do some searching at the Northern New York Library site- search local newspapers from 1902-1940 or so- you would check in the Journal and Republican out of Lowville or one of the Boonville or Utica areas- its free- let me know if I can help
