Hi Joe,
Must just be one of those quirks with the names. My ggrandfather, Zachariah SUTTON married Mary Ann PHILLIPS. Found him with their first child in the 1860 Lancaster Co. census. The 1870 had them again with the rest of the children, including my grandfather, George Franklin SUTTON. Have found what I thought was Zachariah SUTTON at the age of 19 in the 1850 Lancaster Co. census, with his mother Mary, a sister, and older HH Mrs. Reynolds. The first letter of his name was listed either as a "J" or "Z" depending upon how one reads the handwriting of the census taker.
