SCRANTON, SC---Services for Gary Paul Godwin, 38, will be announced by Brockington Funeral Home of LAKE CITY, SC. Visitation will be 7-9 this evening, June 4, 2000 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Brockington Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Godwin died Saturday, June 3, 2000. Born in FLORENCE COUNTY, he was the son of Billy Paul & Mary Hatchell Godwin. He was a graduate of Lake City High School & owner/operator of G & G Grocery. He was a member of High Hill Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Susie Lane Godwin of SCRANTON; daughter, Jami LeAnn Godwin of SCRANTON; parents of SCRANTON; sisters, Julia Godwin [Keith] LaBonte of ATLANTA, GA, Joan Godwin [Sparky] Douglass of LEXINGTON, SC, Janet Godwin [Monty] Hicks of NEW ZION, SC; stepson, Robert Kenneth Lane of MANNING, SC; step-grandson, Austin Bryce Lane of MANNING.
