I am trying to find the parents of Charles A. Rikard (1818-1905)born Newberry County SC who married Mary Elizabeth Smith. They lived near Gilbert SC in Lexington County SC.

It has been speculated that he descended from a brother of Thomas Raccurst who came to Newberry SC in 1749 from Germany.

Would appreciate any help.
