I am trying to find the parents of Jonathan Taylor. I know he was born in 1777 and I think in N.C. He was married to Rachel Clark. He died after 1850 in Lexington County. They had 7 children, Joshua, Adam, Louis P.C., Permelia, Annis, Leah, and James. Rachel was born in 1787 in Lexington and dies in 1857. She was the daughter of Gregory Clark and Lurany Parker both of Sampson Co. N.C. Gregory was the son of Charles and Betty Clark of County Cork, Ireland. I have been told in the past the Jonathan was the son of John N. and Ruth, and that John died in 1815 in Lexington. I have only been able to find 3 sets of John N and Ruth Taylor in NC that would have been there the right time to be his parents and none of them ever left N.C.
