Ken,

You may already have this information, but there is a Laurance Corley that is buried in an abandoned cemetery at the intersections of Harmon, Taylor & Laurel Streets in Lexington.

The original stone has been broken and very worn. I tried pushing the pieces together. Many words I cannot read, but here are the words I could make out:
Laurance Corley died December 18, 1815 in the 73rd year of his age. "Weep not for the path of death _______, with Glory above_____________ when saint (?) __________ all _________a light from Heaven."

There is a new monument which says Laurance Corley was a Pvt SC State Militia Rev. War. This new monument was erected by Pickens Chapter of N.S.D.A.R. in April 1976.

There are other Corleys buried there as well as a set of grandparents by the last name of "Franklow, Rev. John Philip and Sarah.
