happy to find assistance, paid or unpaid.

I'm also a volunteer, but if you had read the Rootsweb AUP for
lists/message
boards I think you would find that it does not allow for profit
advertisements. I have over 80 web sites and over 100 mail list/messge
boards and I charge for nothing on any of them. I always MAKE time for
persons who require help in their genealogy search.
As far as getting off a mail list, that is usually the responsibility of
the
person who got themselves on the mail list, the list admin didn't
subscribe
you and it shouldn't be up to him/her to unsubscribe you. Most of us
don't
have time to do that for everyone who decides they can't get themselves
unsubscribed.
