I am also researching my Hendrix line, and have documented as far back as Henry Hendrix (born about 1785 in PA); however his parents (John Hendrix & Mary Stagner) were residents of Lexington. It appears that the line started somewhere in PA Dutch country, and that the Hendrix's were Quakers and dealt closely with the Indians (as translators and fur traders). I see a Tobias, a Jacobus James, but am not sure if these are actually relatives. Does anyone have any resource material on the original Hendrix line???
