Dear Sam,
Bet this newsletter will be flooded with calls re sending copy you've
mentioned re pensioners & requests. For myself, I'd very much like to know if
there are any CRAWFORD's listed?? If it is indexed alphabetically, would it
be possible for you to list names & info if not too many-----ooooooooh, BIG
REQUEST. Maybe we can pass these copies around.
Very inviting offer,
Winkie CRAWFORD R

<< Act of July 4th, 1836 Suspension List:
Names: Reasons:
Rebecca Coleman For further proof of service and marriage.
widow of
Robert Coleman
Mary Ann Rogers No claim - not six months' service

According to this published list, there were no rejections for Marion Co SC
residents for
pensions under the Acts of June 7th, 1832 and July 4th, 1836.

This above information was from the book "REJECTED OR SUSPENDED
APPLICATIONS
FOR REVOLUTIONARY WAR PENSIONS". The North Carolina and South Carolina
pages
were copied and sent to me by someone who did not put a note in it, nor put
their return address.
There were 11 pages with South Carolina applicants listed [7 = 8.5 X 11
Sheets].
I have noted the ones that I have interest in, so if there is anyone out
there in cyberspace who
would like the copy of the South Carolina pages, please make a note here on
the Marion County
page. I am not sure about copying copyrighted materials that has already
been copied once.
Since I did not copy it originally, and I am unsure about my liability to
the copy right laws in
reproducing additional copies of the copies, I will only send it out to
only one person [Unless
if someone out there can show me how I can do it legally].
Taking the above into consideration, and to be fair, I will be sending
these pages to the person
whose request is logged in first on this [Marion County] list. I will be
responding directly to that
person to give them my address and for other particulars [SASE].
Thanks,
Sam West
