Can't be certain, but it seems to me James Johnston is to be the trustee - I
see nothing to indicate he is to be the groom. Usually, if a marriage was
intended, the husband to be was named as such. Perhaps Elizabeth was merely
underage? or, as they said, 'idiotic.' Aren't there other scenarios when a
property was placed in trust?
How old was B. Keen when he executed this document? Any clue as to Elizabeth's
age? That might tell you something.
