MULLINS -- Mr. Alton Ray Brown, 65, husband of Pauline Smith Brown, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at his residence.

A memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.



Mr. Brown was born Feb. 27, 1937 in Calhoun Falls, a son of the late George David Brown and the late Sarah Nathleen Fagan Brown. Mr. Brown had retired from the U.S. Government Civil Service as a painter. Mr. Brown was a U.S. Navy veteran.



Surviving Mr. Brown in addition to his wife of the home are a son, Chris Keliiaukai Brown and his wife Nancy of Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters, Marie Alohalani Brown and Ruth Tuinii, both of Honolulu, Hawaii; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Dwayne Brown and his wife Nancy of Houston and Gary Brown and his wife Jane of Iva; a stepdaughter, Sherrie Barron and her husband Ron of Laden; and a stepgrandson.
