Zylphia "Bea" Summerford

(June 16, 1938 - October 25, 2002)



DILLON

Services for Zylphia "Bea" Summerford will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday in Anchor Holds Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 P.M. Sunday in the funeral home.



Mrs. Summerford, 64, died Friday, October 25, 2002 in the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston after an illness.



Born in Dillon County, June 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Nancy Jane Emanuel. She was a homemaker and a devoted loving mother and grandmother. She attended Lighthouse Full Gospel Church.



Survivors include her husband, Bill Summerford of Dillon; daughters, Sheila Emanuel of Lancaster, SC, Shelley Herring, Renea Hargrove and Jessie Hudson, all of Dillon; son, Bo and wife, Frankie Summerford of Dillon; brother, Maxie Emanuel of Dillon; sisters, Nancy Karrer of Taos, New Mexico, Sadie Jackson of Dillon and Janie Ree Smith of Florida; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
