>Lowell,

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it. I have come
across one more note that may help me unravel this. The note says that
Jim, Larry, and Ray Whittington were all children of Rev. Burniss and
Gladys (Dove) Whittington who lived at one time in Bennettsville. It also
said that Jim/Larry/Ray had aunts who lived in Dillon, one named Hulon and
one named Blanche Hubbard and goes on to say that the grandmother, Mrs.
Mamie Whittington lived on 5th Avenue in Dillon. Checking my other notes
it says that Horace Whittington, son of Archie D. Whittington and Miss
Brigman, married a Mamie Hurley. I am now wondering if Horace and Mamie
Whittington were the parents of Burris. With the Dillon connections, maybe
there is someone on the list who will remember these names.

Thanks.

Larry Jones
