Long, Mark Anthony "Tony"
DILLON -- Mark Anthony "Tony" Long, 45, beloved husband of Kathy Northrup
Long died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in
Florence.
Tony was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., a son of John S. and Tommye S. Long. He
was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Dillon where he was a member
of the adult choir, member of the "Fishers of Christ" Sunday School Class
and a Sunday school teacher for the 5th and 6th grade boys. He was an
assistant manager with World Finance in Dillon. Tony was an avid softball
player, former coach and umpire for city and church softball leagues both in
Dillon and Sumter. He was a Class of 1975 graduate of Sumter High School. He
was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Dillon and parents of Sumter are two
daughters, Bethany Joy Long and Maryn Taylor Long; one brother, Rodney D.
Long and his wife Wanda; one sister, Trina L. Mask and husband Dan of
Pinewood.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Mt.
Calvary Baptist Church in Dillon with the Rev. Jeff Hickman and the Rev.
Kevin Howell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2003,
at the church prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2003, at
Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Sumter with the Rev. Jeff Hickman and
Rev. Kevin Howell officiating.
The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2003, at Bullock
Funeral Home prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Fore, Wayne Miller, Gene Hill, Greg Rogers, Gary
Rogers, Dallas Jordan and Terry Webster.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Fishers of Christ Sunday School Class, the
Adult Choir, Archie Coker, Ronnie Howell and Jackie Watts.
Memorials may be sent to the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center
Building Fund, 405 Mt. Calvary Rd., Dillon, S.C. 29536.

The family has chosen Bullock Funeral Home of Sumter to handle the
arrangements.
