Dear Mary Raye,

I grew up in Minturn, SC. It is now in Dillon County. Cousin Dan and
Lizzie Sinclair lived near Minturn. I suppose it was the homeplace of the
Sinclairs you mentioned. Dan and Lizzie Sinclair were brother and sister.
They were related to my mother but I do not know how or how much. I just
know that we were taught to call them "cousin". My mother was Annie Graham,
daughter of Zachariah and Mary Annette (Molly) Alford Graham. My great
grandparents were Daniel and Isobel Carmichael Graham. That is as far as I
have record on my Graham ancestors but the Alfords go back to Lodowick
Alford in Virginia in the early 1700's. His son, Jacob, came to NC. Next
in my line was Elias, then Benjamin and then my grandmother.

I would really like to know what the relationship is. Do you have anything
on Dan and Lizzie? If you need to know any more about that area I will be
glad to help you.
Maybe we are distant cousins.
