CENTENARY -- Mrs. Virginia LeGette Roark, 73, wife of C.E. "Earl" Roark,
died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Marion County Medical Center after an
illness.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2003, at Century
Baptist Church, with Rev. Joe Proctor and Rev. Thelton Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed
by Smith-Collins Funeral Home.



Mrs. Roark was born April 28, 1930, in Marion County, a daughter of the late
Hannibal K. LeGette and the late Macie Holden LeGette. Mrs. Roark had
retired from the Development office of Francis Marion University. She was
past Matron of the Swamp Fox chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs.
Roark was a member of Centenary Baptist Church.



Surviving Mrs. Roark in addition to her husband of the home are two sons:
Charles Roark and his wife Lucy of Centenary and Jim Roark of Baltimore,
Md.; and a step-grandson; Michael Rabon of Centenary.

SC 29519.



Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at
Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
