Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 13, 2003, Mary Clyde
Slocumbe Cash, 76, widow of James Blake Cash. Residence, Huntsville, Alabama. The
relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at the Graveside
in Carolina Memorial Gardens, Monday afternoon, June 16, 2003 at one o clock.
Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 409 King Street,
Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403 or First Baptist Church, Facilities
Renovation, 600 Governors Drive S.W., Huntsville, Ala. 35801 or to a charity of one s
choice. Mrs. Cash was born August 19, 1926 in Marion, South Carolina, a
daughter of Robert L. and Nellie Mae Brown Slocumbe. She was a member of First
Baptist Church of Huntsville, Alabama. Mrs. Cash received her nursing degree from
the Medical University of the College of Nursing of South Carolina in
Charleston. She retired as a registered nurse from Thiokol Corporation after 33 years.
Surviving are her brother, Robert J. Slocumbe of Elberton, Georgia and a
sister, Cecile S. Smith of Boone, North Carolina. She is also survived by several
nieces and nephews.
