Martin Craig Moody
(August 2, 1921 - July 17, 2003)
DILLON
Graveside services for Martin Craig Moody, 82 will be held Saturday, July 19
at 10:00 A.M. at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. David Taylor officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the home of Holly Moody at
913 East Main St., Dillon.
Mr. Moody passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was born in Dillon and
lived there most of his life with the exception of his tour of duty with the
US Army and thirteen years employment with the U.S. Coast and Geodetic
Survey. He was a retired registered land surveyor. He was a member of Main
Street United Methodist Church, a past member of the Dillon Volunteer Fire
Department and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen Belden Moody; sons, Michael
Craig Moody of Dillon and Martin Vol Moody and his wife, Jan of Kensington,
Maryland; daughter, Holly Lu Moody of Dillon; 5 granddaughters, Given Moody
of Dillon, Kada Moody of Surfside Beach, Andrea, Kelsey and Kimberly Moody
of Kensington, Maryland; grandson, Craig Moody of Columbia; sister-in-law,
Eleanor P. Moody of Andrews.
Being the last surviving member of his immediate family he was preceded in
death by his parents, Richard Lattie and Azile Martin Moody and brothers,
Richard L. and James W. Moody.
Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves St.,
Florence, SC 29506
