FLORENCE -- Vergie McLellan Youmans, 84, died Friday, July 18, 2003, in a
Florence hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Ridgecrest Baptist Church,
directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Hope
Cemetery.



Mrs. Youmans was born in Marion, S.C., a daughter of the late Samuel Ciseroe
and Mattie Campbell McLellan. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.



Mrs. Youmans was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Youmans Sr., two
brothers, Legrand McLellan and S.C McLellan, and one sister, Eloise Coleman.



Surviving are: Three sons, Charles F. Youmans Jr., and wife, Judy, Thomas
Gerald Youmans and wife, Debbie, all of Florence, and S. Russell Youmans and
wife, Vicki, of Barnwell, S.C.; a sister, Joyce Stork of Florence; four
brothers, James McLellan and Hubert McLellan, both of Florence, Franklin
McLellan of Orangeburg and Bobby McLellan of Columbia; six grandchildren,
Britt Youmans, Darren Youmans, Kati Youmans, Kari Youmans, Marie Stockton,
and Suzanne Youmans; and one great grandchild, Mason Stockton.



Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Mid-State SC Chapter,
P. O. Box 7044, Columbia, SC 29202.
