LATTA -- Patrick C. "Pat" Henry Jr., 81, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at St.
Eugene Medical Center.

Mr. Henry was born in Latta, a son of the late Patrick C. Henry and Margaret
Marie Moore Henry. He was a member of Latta United Methodist Church where he
had served on the Board of Trustees. He was a retired farmer and merchant
and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Through the years he also served
on the school board for Latta public schools and for Avalon Academy and was
a former member of the Lions Club.



He is survived by his wife, Iratine Benton Henry of the home; sons, Patrick
Henry III and wife Nancy of Myrtle Beach, and Benton Henry and wife Tina of
Latta; daughter, Marie Henry Richardson and husband Bobby of Conway; and
grandchildren, Stephanie Richardson, Rob Richardson, Patrick Charles Henry,
Kendall Henry and Elizabeth Henry.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Latta United Methodist
Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery, directed by Kannaday's Funeral Home
in Latta.
