Is there anyone on the list who could help me understand the plat
descriptions shown on the old plats? For instance, on a plat for William Scott in 1735
the square parcel of land has these designations:
NW 60.00 Dist 92 20, SW 30.00 Dist 92 20, SE 60.00 92 20, NE 30.00 Dist 92
20.
If I could read these designations could I determine where the piece of land
was located?
My interest is that an adjacent land owner was my ancestor, John Godbold.
Any help or guidance will certainly be appreciated.
