Taylor, Thomas



MULLINS -- Mr. Thomas Taylor, 63, husband of Betty Sawyer Taylor, died
Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Chapel of
Cox-Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Brown officiating. Burial will
follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins
Funeral Home.



Mr. Taylor was born Jan. 19, 1940, in Dillon County, a son of the late
Claude and Florine Harrelson Taylor. Mr. Taylor was an automobile
technician, having worked with Holt Motor Company, Forrest Motors and King
Cadillac. He was a member of Wahee Hunting Club and Ashpole Hunting Club.
Mr. Taylor was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.



Surviving Mr. Taylor in addition to his wife of the home are two daughters,
Dianne Taylor of Mullins and Virginia Hemingway and her husband John of
Fork; two granddaughters, Jennifer Hemingway and Ashley Taylor; a grandson,
Jonathan Taylor; and a sister, Bessie Taylor of Mullins.



Memorial may be made to Hospice of the Pee Dee, 555 E. Cheves St., Florence,
SC 29506 or to Gideons International, P.O. Box 34, Marion, SC 29471.



Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
