I know several of you are working on the Moses Smith line, prominent
Methodist Minister of Marion Co. SC area. I was wondering if anyone knew where his
son, James D. Smith was in 1870. He dies in 1875 and a monument is erected
there at Center Church. I don't seem to find him in the 1870 census. His
daughter, Jane, doesn't marry until 1874, (at the age of 42) that I am aware (unless
she had a previous husband prior to Henry Price), and I don't seem to find her
in the 1870 census either. If anyone knows this info, I would greatly
appreciate hearing from you! Also, if anyone has tracked down where Moses Smith came
from I would like to hear that also! Thanks!
