Hi,
I am searching for the King family who lived along the SC/NC border in
the time period from 1890-1940 (and beyond). I am looking for Lonnie O.
King (1890-1931) whose first wife was Lizzie Huggins. Their children
were Rembert Lonzo King and Pauline King. From at least 1931-1936
Rembert Lonzo King and his wife Nina Lee Bristow lived in Hamer, Dillon
County, SC. Rembert's children were Marion Douglas King and Ramona Lee
King.
Lonnie O. King's second wife was Mary Margaret Chappell, and they had
one daughter, Helen Chappell King. Lonnie died in 1931 in Saint Paul's,
Robeson County, NC.
Lonnie O. King had two sisters, Pauline King (I think that was her name)
and Nettie King.
Their parents may have been George Edward King and Margaret Elizabeth
Turnage from Chesterfield County, SC. I would greatly appreciate any
help, ideas, or information. Nettie King was my paternal grandmother.
She married Joseph Bowden Neely, Sr. from Horry County, SC, and they
moved to Savannah, Chatham County, GA.
Thanks,
Sharlotte Neely Donnelly
